Commercial Licensing

Per my Terms of Service, you must own a commercial licence from me in order to use my work commercially. Commercial fees are an additional charge on top of the commission price. Your licence covers all artwork received from me. There is no payment plan for commercial licences; they must be paid upfront. The prices listed are the minimum asked prices which vary depending on commission value, intended purpose, and distribution scope. For limited licences, you will be reminded when you need to renew.

A royalty model applies when artwork is used on products sold to the public (merch, product lines, book sales, etc.). Typical royalties are: 3-7% of gross sales with a minimum annual guarantee.
Time-limited licences expire on the end date. You must stop commercial use unless renewed.
Licences are non-transferable except by written approval (e.g., sale of the business).

Definitions

Personal Use: Use in non-commercial contexts only: personal social media profiles (with credit), personal websites (as logos or non-commercial sharing), private prints, personal blog posts not selling or promoting a business, and any other non-commercial use of the artwork.
Commercial Use: Any use that generates revenue or promotes a business, including: business websites, paid advertising, merchandise sold to the public, product packaging, logos used as part of a brand identity.
Exclusive licence: You get permanent commercial rights per the agreement.
Non-exclusive licence: You get permission to use the artwork commercially for the duration of the license.

Commercial Licensing Options

Non-Exclusive, Limited Time Licenses

6 months: From £50 (negotiable). Includes use in business marketing materials and advertisements, business website headers, social media business accounts, merchandise production (within the duration of the licence), print and digital advertising campaigns (within the duration of the licence), corporate presentations and materials.
1 year: From £100 (negotiable). Same uses as 6-month, for 12 months.
Credit required in all uses

Permanent, Exclusive License

Per artwork: From £800 (negotiable). Includes indefinite exclusive commercial use of the artwork and commercial applications within agreed parameters
I retain the right to display the work in my portfolio and promotional materials
Credit required in all uses

Flat fee + Royalties

I offer royalty-based licences for products that generate sales (merch, product lines, book sales, etc.). These licences include:

A negotiated royalty rate
A Minimum Annual Guarantee (non-refundable; credited against royalties)
Quarterly royalty reports and payments. Right to audit.

Upfront prices are negotiated per artwork and depend on complexity & use.

Rights I Keep (And Restrictions)

I retain copyright unless we explicitly agree to transfer it (through additional fees and negotiation).
No AI training on the artwork regardless of licence.
No NFT minting or sales regardless of licence.
No resale or reupload of the original digital (raw) files under any circumstances.
Sublicensing is not allowed unless written permission is granted.
